I had fun with this strip. While I’m not so big into the self-reference thing, once I figured out I could make Anne – one of my favorite people on the face of the entire freaking planet – the payoff, I decided to go for it.
Of course, the same sort of thing was handled much, much, much, much better by Schulz, forty years ago:
